After a 6-year hiatus, basketball is officially back at Seat Pleasant Day. As part of the city's 95th Anniversary celebration, the Community Basketball Showcase returns in partnership with Community Kinship Coalition and The DMV Daily, bringing back one of the area's most anticipated traditions where competition, community, and culture meet on the court.

The mission of Community Kinship Coalition, Inc. (CKC) is to empower youth to be productive and successful leaders with high moral character in the 21st century to ensure that youth and families are empowered, included, and are active participants in the decision making process, including and sustaining livable communities.
I think its a great organization. They were there for me first when I played back in the day. Each year, the organization has gotten better and better and has grown. I think it will work wonders for the kids seeing us here considering we came from the same background they did.
